Aka Simba Simba, was born in Florida in 1987 and raised in Georgia. As the co-founder of The Struggle For Unity (T.S.F.U.) Foundation, Simba Simba has been a cornerstone of the organization's mission, bringing a lifetime of resilience, wisdom, and community-oriented leadership to its foundation.

While incarcerated alongside founder Antonio Pearson in the Georgia Department of Corrections, Simba Simba helped develop and apply transformative practices and exercises—first to themselves, and later to the men around them. Their goal was to empower both the young and the old to utilize their time constructively, become better men, and ultimately rejoin their families and communities with purpose and integrity. Simba Simba’s passion for this work is deeply rooted in his personal history.

Losing his father at the tender age of 2, who was himself a 24-year-old youth tragically murdered by an 18-year-old, instilled a profound awareness of the cycle of violence and loss that plagues poverty-stricken communities. Understanding that his story mirrored the experiences of countless others, he committed himself to breaking this cycle by being as present and impactful as possible for others navigating their life journeys.

Simba Simba drew upon the ancestral wisdom of traditional rites of passage, co-developing the Simba Program with Antonio Pearson to equip men with the tools necessary to transform their lives. Under their leadership, T.S.F.U. has become a vital institution, working to foster a generation of grounded, empowered, and community-oriented individuals.

Simba Simba believes deeply in the power of collective evolution and shared responsibility: "We all have a moral responsibility to impart on those around us, and those coming up behind us, all we've experienced and learned about the world. It's how we evolve collectively.The more we learn, the greater our responsibility becomes—to continue learning, to teach, and to play the senior roles necessary for a society to be great and rightly guided."
